A cop (Billy Zane) protects and falls in love with a prostitute (Kristin Minter). The prostitute had been with the cop's partner when two men broke into their motel, executed him, but clumsily let her escape. Of course little doubt exists that the two are cops and that the partner was getting ready to expose corruption. Louis Gosset Jr. appears as the police captain.
